1.1 You should read the terms and conditions set out below before submitting your application on this website.
1.2 These terms and conditions apply to the charge of applying to MBA House Residence over this website. In using this website for this purpose, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not understand nor accept these terms and conditions, you must refrain from submitting your application to the MBA House Residents using the website. These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with any other applicable terms and conditions governing the use of this website, including the E-commerce Privacy and Security Policy, Pricing, Pricing Errors and Payment Method Refund.
1.3 In these terms and conditions, the expressions ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ are a reference to Village Gate Homes, the website owner.
1.4 All payments are taken in full at the time of application submission.
E-commerce Privacy & Security
Village Gate Homes, a division of UBC Properties Trust (the Company) protects personal information by taking reasonable, industry-standard security arrangements against such risks as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure or disposal.
The Company will only use your personal information for the purposes of your E-commerce Application Form in order to communicate with you about your application and resident fees.
Personal information obtained by the Company by paper or electronic means, remains the property of the Company and will not be used, sold, traded or disclosed to any other business or organization.
Pursuant to this Policy your personal information will be kept in compliance with the privacy laws of British Columbia and Canada.
The Company uses for its e-commerce site the highest industry standard encryption technology (SSL 128-bit) to ensure that any information you transmit during the ordering process is secure. This includes your name, contact numbers and what you have ordered.
Your credit card numbers are encrypted using 2000-bit technology and are not stored on our server. This is why you must enter your credit card number for each transaction. The Company’s e-commerce site has been certified as an authentic Thawte Site.
Pricing
All prices, taxes and fees are in Canadian currency.
Prices, specifications and procedures are subject to change without notice.
Pricing Errors
In the event that application fees or resident fees are listed incorrectly due to typographical error, or error in pricing, we have the right to refuse or cancel any applications placed at the incorrect price. If your credit card has already been charged, we will immediately credit your credit card in the amount of the incorrect price.
Payment Methods
All application fees must be pre-paid. We accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards.
Refunds
There are no refunds on application fees.
